1. Piano Tuning / Regulating

Tier 1: $175 - Piano tuning and basic regulation (2 hours service time):
  • Includes adjustments to the internal mechanics to ensure nominal function of the keys and hammer assembly.
Tier 2: $240 - Piano tuning and intermediate regulation (3 hours service time):
  • Includes adjustments to the hammer assembly intended to improve the "touch" and responsiveness of the keys.
  • Recommended for pianos that have not been tuned or serviced for 5 or more years and in situations where there is noticeable degradation in the piano's performance.
Tier 3: $300 - Piano tuning and advanced regulation (4 hours service time):​
  • Includes advanced adjustments to the hammer, key and damper assemblies.
  • Intended to ensure optimal repetition and touch response in the keys and to renew lost or degraded functionality in cases where the piano may not have been regularly maintained.
  • Recommended for severely neglected instruments, casual and advanced players requiring good expressiveness and response and students moving into intermediate or advanced repertoire.​​

2. Repairs Only (No Tuning or Regulation)

  • Recommended for any repair work where a tuning or internal adjustments are not required, such as:
    • Re-attaching keytops;
    • Patching chipped keys;
    • Re-gluing broken hammer components or damper felts;
    • Replacing broken strings.
  • $100 for the first hour, plus the cost of new materials if required (see Part Replacement below).
  • Each additional hour (or portion thereof) will incur the hourly rate of $60/hour.​​

3. Regulation Only (No Tuning or Repair)

  • Recommended if a tuning is not required and to resolve such issues as:
    • Sticky Keys;
    • Poor Hammer Repetition;
    • Damper problems.
  • $100 for the first hour, plus the cost of new materials if required (see Part Replacement below).
  • Each additional hour (or portion thereof) will incur the hourly rate of $60/hour.​​

4. Additional Repairs

  • ​​Repairs taking longer than 30 minutes during a tuning appointment are $60/hour plus the cost of new material(s) if applicable (see Part Replacement below).​​

5. Appraisals / Purchase Consultations

  • $60 for a full inspection to determine the approximate age, overall condition and estimated resale value of any used piano.
    • Useful for pre-purchase or sales inspections and also insurance purposes.
    • Includes a detailed written report.​​

6. Part Replacement

Click the links below to see descriptions and prices for parts commonly replaced and incurring additional costs.  Prices include installation fee and GST.
Please note: in cases where parts must be special-ordered or part replacement costs exceed $100, 50% of the cost is required up front and the balance is due once the service/installation is complete.  Interest-free incremental payments can also be arranged.

7. Dampp-Chaser Humidity Control System

   A dedicated humidifier/de-humidifier system installed inside the cabinet of the piano; creates a micro-climate within the piano and maintains a consistent humidity level year-round to stabilize pitch and extend the life of the instrument.
   Note: 50% deposit required to secure installation; remainder payable upon completion of installation or in monthly increments.  Price includes GST and installation fee.  Click below to order through PayPal or e-transfer deposit amount to [email protected].​​​

8. Mileage Charges (Outside Greater Edmonton)

  • $.50/km round-trip
  • Calculated from your location to the nearest outlying municipality closest to Edmonton (Sherwood Park, Leduc, St. Albert, Fort Saskatchewan, Spruce Grove, Nisku) using Google Maps​​

9. Group Tuning Discounts (Outside Greater Edmonton)

  • Mileage charges will be waived if a group of 3 or more tunings can be arranged for the same area; please note: this discount applies in place of the "group tunings" discount (see below) - the two discounts cannot be applied together​​

10. General Discounts

Special discounts are available for:
  • Schools;
  • Church Groups;
  • Performing Arts groups;
  • Assisted Living Facilities;
  • Senior's Residences;
  • Full-time Students;
  • Senior Citizens (65+);
  • Multiple pianos for a single client - $20 off per instrument (note: pianos can be at different locations, e.g. home and studio); please note: cannot be combined with the "mileage discount" outside the Greater Edmonton area;
  • Group tunings - Get your piano and your friend's/relative's/neighbor's pianos done together!  $20 off each service if a group of 3 or more tunings can be arranged at the time of booking.  The services can be performed the same day or on alternate days; please note: cannot be combined with the "mileage discount" outside the Greater Edmonton area;
  • Personal referrals - $20 off your next service for each referral resulting in a booking.
